Accessibility

The Library is barrier-free. An InfraRed Hearing Enhancement System is available for programs presented in the S. Spencer Scott Room and a color video magnifier is available in the Reference Room.

The Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped provides spoken word cassettes and Braille materials to adults and children who are eligible by Federal standards. Applications for this free service are available at the Library.

Photocopiers are available for copies at $ .15 per page.

Public Meeting Rooms

Meeting facilities are available for not-for-profit community groups.

The S. Spencer Scott Room is a gift of and for the community. It is made available to further the informational, educational, cultural and recreational goals for which the Library exists. Commercial use is prohibited. Access to the Scott Room is barrier-free and the capacity is 200. Applications for the use of the Scott Room are available from the Program Director. The schedule of fees appears on the application form.

The Jaffin Room is available for the community for informal, non-commercial activities. It may be used, free of cost, by individuals or small groups (not to exceed 20 persons) engaged in cultural, intellectual charitable or civic pursuits. Reservations for the Jaffin Room are accepted at the Circulation Desk.
