POLICY ON PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN LIBRARY BOARD MEETINGS

The Scarsdale Public Library invites input from patrons and other members of the public on Library matters, and welcomes members of the public to attend Library Board meetings. Under New York’s Open Meetings Law, the public has the right to observe the performance of public officials and attend and listen to the deliberations and decisions that go into the making of public policy, but not the right to speak or participate in Board meetings. There will be a public comment period during the meeting, at which time each speaker will have three minutes to comment on library matters
