Coping

May is Mental Health Awareness Month;  it is almost a certainty that many of us are seeking support for ourselves or our loved ones during these times.  In addition to the eBooks we have shared, we hope that you might find the following links helpful:

National Alliance on Mental Illness(NAMI) This organization, currently in it’s 40th year, hosts a variety of resources including stories from people living with mental illnesses and the opportunity for community members to share their stories.

Headspace was previously shared, but since it teaches meditation and provides recordings to help us along, it is worth sharing again.

The New York State Office of Mental Health provides a helpline for emotional support, suicide prevention and help for those experiencing domestic violence,  in addition to grief support, provider resources, how to volunteer and much more.

Mental Health America is another incredibly helpful resource. Mental Health Awareness month was established by this organization in 1949 and their resources includes mental health screening tools.

Download PDF of a list of books to help you stay calm, deal with grief, protect your mental health, or simply read something relatable during tough times.
