Program Description

Event Details

The Sassoons reveals the fascinating story of a remarkable Jewish family, following four generations from Iraq to India, China, and England through a rich selection of works collected by family members over time.

Join us in the Scott Room or virtually via your own computer for a lucid and engaging look at The Jewish Museum's current exhibit, The Sassoons. Educators from The Jewish Museum will meet us via Zoom to offer a virtual tour of the exhibit and other treasures of the museum's collection before taking questions on this cosmopolitan family and their important role in much of the history of the 19th century.

Please Note: This is a virtual exhibit tour where the presenters will join registrants via Zoom. You are free to attend in the library's Scott Room to experience the tour on our large projector screen or from your own computer via Zoom. All registrants will receive the Zoom invitation link approximately one hour before the presentation begins, but only those who plan on attending virtually will need to use the link.
