Join Marcus Renna in the Scott Room for a screening and discussion of two short films featuring classic gangster stories.

This December, we'll be watching "The Girl Who Had Everything" starring William Powell, Elizabeth Taylor, and Fernando Lamas and then "Guns, Girls and Gangsters" starring Mamie Van Doren and Lee Van Cleef.

In "The Girl Who Had Everything" (1953) Elizabeth Taylor plays Jean Latimer, a charming socialite whose widowed father, defense lawyer Steve Latimer (William Powell) agrees to defend the rakish gambler Victor Ramondi (Fernando Lamas) against charges of organized crime. Steve becomes alarmed when Jean is intrigued by Victor.

In "Guns, Girls and Gangsters" (1959) an elaborate armored car heist goes wrong when Vi Victor (Mamie Van Doren) is pursued by her jealous and dangerous husband Mike Bennett (Lee Van Cleef) after he refuses her demand for a divorce.
