Program Description

Event Details

Iyengar Yoga is a profound, intelligent, rewarding and transformative practice of yoga especially for you. From the beginning, Iyengar Yoga develops strength, stamina, concentration, coordination, flexibility and balance. Using physical alignment as a starting point, Iyengar Yoga encourages the spread of intelligence throughout the body, the growth of self-awareness, and an experience of the asana as form of "meditation in action." No one is too stiff, too out of shape, too stressed, or too old to begin. What's necessary is a willingness to learn about yourself and work with your challenges as you are taught one step at a time. In this class, you will learn fundamentals with modifications and supports to make them accessible. Have a chair (hard seat and armless like a folding chair) and if possible, yoga mat, towel or firm blanket, and a wall or table you can stand in front of, for support.

You will receive an email with the Zoom link approximately 1 hour before the beginning of the class.
