Introducing the Taste the World Club, a collaboration between the Scarsdale Public Library and Apiary at the Library.

Each month we will provide a small amount of a different spice or spice blend from a different part of the world.

Cook with the spice and join us for a Zoom discussion of what we each made.  We can share tips, recipes and opinions.

For April we will be cooking with Berbere Spice, the signature flavor that gives Ethiopian food its kick.  It has some heat, so use it sparingly if you don't like spice, but beyond the mild heat is a smoky, complex combination of coriander, fenugreek, garlic, and many other spices.

** Berbere Spice has some heat to it.  If you don't like your food hot, be sparing in using it.  You can always add more.**

During the month, Apiary at the Library will be featuring their own Berbere Spiced Chicken Breast.  They will include their recipe in our kits too.

To find recipes using this spice, visit these sites:

Be creative, and happy cooking!

We will contact you to schedule a time to pick up your kit.

**The Berbere Spice included in the kit was packed in a facility that packs wheat and nuts.  If you are allergic to wheat or nuts, or are unsure, please do not use any of this spice.**
