Event Details

Introducing the Taste the World Club, a collaboration between the Scarsdale Public Library and Apiary at the Library.

Each month we will provide a small amount of a different spice or spice blend from a different part of the world.

Cook with the spice and join us for a Zoom discussion of what we each made.  We can share tips, recipes and opinions.

This month we will be cooking with Za'atar , an extremely versatile spice blend that can be found throughout the Middle East.  Each region makes it a little differently, but it usually has a mixture of Thyme, Sumac, Sesame Seeds, Hyssop or Oregano.  It is delicious on toasted pita, sprinkled on Labneh (strained yogurt cheese), with roasted vegetables and an endless number of other things.
