A Library Campus
Scarsdale Library and the Friends of the Scarsdale Library are undertaking a campus transformation to make more outdoor space available for open-air programming, for reading and study, and to enhance safe and healthy gathering for Scarsdale children and adults alike.
The Library in the Park Campaign will make the Library’s grounds a true “campus,” changing how the outdoors is used and appreciated.

Naming Opportunities
Naming gifts from $10,000 to $1 million will be recognized on site-specific signage and on the project’s donor wall. Contributors at the $5,000 level will be recognized on stone pavers like those in place today at the Library’s entrance. Gifts of any size are welcome to help make possible our vision for Scarsdale’s Library in the Park.

About Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Scarsdale Library (FOSL) plays a vital role in ensuring that our local library is a dynamic and multifaceted cultural and intellectual center for all. The Friends was founded in 1946 by residents in order to work with the library board and staff in helping the library reach its “maximum usefulness” in Scarsdale, and to this day, the members of FOSL support, advocate, and fundraise to do exactly this. Most recently, the Friends was critical in the library’s successful fundraising efforts to renovate and reimagine the SPL, transforming the building into a new state of the art facility.
