Summer Reading 2025

Summer is on its way and the Scarsdale Public Library is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Summer Reading Programs!

Dive into a world of literary adventures and fun challenges, earning chances to win fantastic prizes generously funded by the Friends of the Scarsdale Library.

Challenge runs from June 22 through August 9

Join our Summer Reading Bingo game for Babies & Toddlers, PreK through 1st grade, and 2nd through 5th grade. Complete any one row, column, or diagonal to receive a prize. Finish the entire card and receive a book to keep!

Challenge runs from June 22 through August 30

Registration begins on June 1 in Beanstack for Scarsdale teens entering grades 6-12 in the 2025-2026 school year to join our summer reading challenge. Starting on June 22, you may play our virtual bingo game and win prizes by reading books and completing activities. Earn badges and tickets to enter one or more grand prize raffle drawings. Join us for our end of Summer Reading Party on August 30 where you can learn to play ZTag — a revolutionary way to play Laser Tag!

Once again our librarians have a variety of summertime activities lined up for you! Beginning June 1, you can register for Adult Summer Reading to receive your themed pin and earn points toward summer reading prizes. On June 22, begin submitting your book reviews, and plan to attend Trivia, Competitive Puzzling, and Paint Night for more chances to win. Make this summer a work of art and enjoy some time at the library along the way!
