Program Description

Event Details

Come in to play the Game of Kings in this year's 2023 Summer Chess Tournament for Kids with your fellow chess aficionado.

Participants must know the rules of chess.

This program is intended for children ages 7-15 years old.

Boards and pieces will be provided.

Please bring a snack for a break halfway through the tournament.

Please note that if you arrive 10 minutes or more after the program start time, your spot will be given to a child on the waitlist and you will not be able to attend this program.

Registration is required and begins on Sunday, June 25 @ 8AM.

Photography

Please note that photographs and/or footage may be taken throughout the event. These will be used by the library for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media. Please consult with a librarian if you have any concerns or if you wish to be exempt from this activity.

Unattended Children

Parents and Caregivers should be attentive to children under their care at all times during the program. Children are not permitted to be left unsupervised by their caregiver unless over the age of 10.
