Cooper Hewitt
Cooper Hewitt is the nation’s only museum dedicated to historic and contemporary design, with a collection of over 210,000 design objects spanning thirty centuries. Located in the landmark Andrew Carnegie mansion and boasting a beautiful public garden, Cooper Hewitt makes design come alive with unique temporary exhibitions and installations of the permanent collection.
Frick Collection
The Frick Collection is internationally recognized as a premier museum and research center, and is known for its distinguished Old Master paintings and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts. The collection was assembled by the Pittsburgh industrialist Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919) and is housed in his former residence on Fifth Avenue. Adjacent to the museum is the Frick Art Reference Library; it is one of the leading institutions for research in the fields of art history and collecting.
Greenburgh Nature Center
In 1973, the residents of the Town of Greenburgh voted to allocate funds for the purchase of what was then known as the “Hall Estate.” In 1975, the Hall Estate became officially known as the Greenburgh Nature Center. Today, the Greenburgh Nature Center is a 33-acre nature preserve with trails, a vernal pond, a Native Plant Meadow, Native American Replica Village, Barnyard, and Organic Garden.
