Please join us in the Scott Room for a fun filled hour of conversation with William Maz, author of the spy thriller, The Bucharest Legacy: The Rise of the Oligarchs. This page turner finds CIA analyst, Bill Hefflin, in a tight spot as he tries to clear his name after being linked to a KGB mole inside the agency. The mole's handler is a KGB agent known as Boris, the code name of Hefflin's longtime KGB asset. Hefflin must return to Bucharest, city of his birth, to find Boris and track down the identity of the mole. It has been three years since the bloody Romanian revolution, and what Hefflin finds is a cauldron of spies, crooked politicians, and a country controlled by the underground and the new oligarchs - all of whom want to find Boris.
