Join us either online or in-person in the Scott Room for an informative and thoughtful presentation from the New-York Historical Society for Black History Month. Explore Black Americans' struggle for equality under the law from 1865 through World War I. Learn about this dark chapter of our history as well as Black New Yorkers’ organizing and community-building in the face of discrimination.

Please Note: This is a hybrid program. You may attend either online via your own device or in-person to experience the program on our auditorium screen. All registrants will receive the Zoom link to the program approximately one hour before the event begins. Only those attending virtually will need to use it.
