Program Description

Event Details

Many families know about the Ivy League schools, but many don't know much about them beyond a name, a location, and an acceptance rate.  Some families may be looking for other colleges and programs, but might not have a sense of whether a school is the right "fit."  In this session, Ms. Estersohn will give families new information about familiar colleges as well as new information about colleges they may not have thought about yet.  This session is ideal for both parents and students who are interested in learning more about college possibilities.

Amy Estersohn is a Scarsdale High School alumna and a graduate of the University of Chicago, where she worked in her alma mater's undergraduate admissions office.  During her time at UChicago, the applicant pool tripled and the acceptance rate fell into the single digits. She had an opportunity to read over 4,000 college applications from students in 45 states, six countries, and three U.S. territories.

A recording of this event will be shared with registrants for their private use.
