Program Description

Event Details

The Dear Asian Youth (DAY) Chapter of Westchester County is happy to celebrate Lunar New Year this year by reading picture books about the holiday and the many Asian cultures in which it is celebrated. There will also be opportunities to color, fold origami, and learn calligraphy.

Young kids from Scarsdale and beyond are invited to our Scott Room to hear local teens read diverse stories aloud to them. The teens will share stories that showcase the diversity of Asian communities.

There will be space and red envelopes for the first 48 kids who show up!

Food Allergies

We cannot guarantee that food served at this program has not come into contact with tree nuts, soy, or other allergens.

Please consult with a librarian if you have any concerns or if you wish to be exempt from this activity.
