Program Description

Event Details

Scarsdale Public Library Teen Services and Dear Asian Youth (DAY) Westchester have invited legislator David T. Imamura to speak about his experience as an Asian American working on legislation such as the Westchester Immigrant Protection Act and the Westchester Discriminatory Harassment Law. Come learn about his journey!

David T. Imamura is an experienced attorney who has held positions on numerous boards throughout New York. The first Asian American to serve on the Westchester County Board of Legislators, he is committed to creating a Westchester County that is open and affordable to all, particularly in the areas of housing and childcare, and has also pushed for AAPI curriculum to be taught in Westchester County public schools. He represents District 12, comprised of Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington.
