Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) Awareness and Support Group. It’s more than the Baby Blues
The perinatal period of conception to one year post birth holds the greatest risk for experiencing a mood and anxiety disorder. Up to 20% of pregnant and postpartum mothers experience depression, anxiety, or excessive worry. You are not alone!
PMAD symptoms are temporary and treatable with professional care and social support. Whether you are experiencing stress, sleep deprivation, adjustment to parenting, normal “baby blues” or pregnancy or postpartum depression/anxiety, this ongoing PMAD support group is here to help.
Registration is required.
When: Thursdays 10-11:30 AM
Where: Scarsdale Public Library
Who: Birthing parents who are pregnant to two years post birth. Babes in arms welcome, but no
toddlers please.
Why: Because you deserve to feel well! This is a time for you to focus on YOU, to get out of your
home, to gain knowledge, to connect with others and to build an ongoing community of
support.
Registration is required.
