Whether you are an experienced pickleballer or curious to learn for the first time, we're here to help you learn about the health benefits of staying active and having fun. Join us in the Scott Room to learn about how pickleball and similar athletic activities can be a good option to get moving. You'll also learn about proactive steps to take to reduce the risk of injury while playing sports and promoting joint and bone health.

About the presenter

Marc Kowalsky, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, with subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed two subspecialty fellowships: the first in Sports Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital/Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma, and the second in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine. He has expertise in the surgical and nonsurgical management of sports injury of the shoulder, elbow and knee. He treats complex shoulder and elbow conditions, including degenerative disease, trauma, and revision surgery. He has a particular interest in the management of shoulder and elbow arthritis, instability, ligament and tendon injuries, as well as knee ligament injury and cartilage disorders. Dr. Kowalsky is currently a sports medicine physician at ONS Harrison, a local healthcare organization specializing in physical therapy and orthopedics.
