The functionality and versatility of advances such as ChatGPT and Bard are increasingly being used by job-seekers and employers alike. This presentation will overview the capabilities of these generative systems, and will feature an interactive demonstration of how they can be used to aid in tasks such as devising resumes and LinkedIn profiles, writing cover letters, brainstorming for career opportunities, and much more.

Presenter Jacob Adler is the Metadata/Cataloging Librarian at Bronx Community College Library, and has been investigating the possibilities of generative systems since late 2022. He has authored a research guide on the subject and has been presenting on generative system developments throughout 2023. His interests include fiction-writing, history, and tabletop role-playing.

An in-person Speaker Series sponsored by WLS Career Coaching Services and Co-hosted by Scarsdale Library on 'Using AI for Career Research Resources'.
