How did Jewish settlers come to inhabit—and change—the New World? Follow the trajectory of a people forced from their homes in Europe, South America, and the Caribbean, to their controversial arrival in New Amsterdam in 1654 to the political freedoms they gained.

This is a zoom program by the New York Historical Society. The program is sponsored by the Pelham Public Library, the Scarsdale Public Library, the Chappaqua Public Library, and the Tuckahoe Public Library.
