Every month, Scarsdale Public Library's Teen Services Department collects via this Google Form images of original artworks created by local teens (i.e., those in Grades 6 through 12) to display on our Teen Room flatscreen.
Each teen artist may submit up to five pieces per month. The submission deadline for the following month's showcase is the 15th of the current month.
The Path to Empowerment: Empowering High School Girls forum is brought to you by SHS student Sonya Chen in partnership with the Greenburgh and Scarsdale Public Libraries.
This series was designed to equip girls to feel more empowered, self-confident, and better prepared to handle the day-to-day challenges they encounter. Participation is open to high school girls in grades 9-12.
Ever since 1968, Americans have observed National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th through October 15th, where the contributions, histories, and cultures of those from Spain, Latin America, and the Caribbean are celebrated. Scarsdale Public Library's Teen Room is no different and would like to take the time to showcase some of the best Young Adult lit written by and for those of Hispanic Heritage.
If you will be in town this summer and you are available and interested in volunteering (at least two hours per week throughout July and August 2022) at the Library, please consider applying to be a summer volunteer!
If you are a rising 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grader and you are prepared to track your time spent reading this July and August in Beanstack (via mobile app or online at www.scarsdalelibrary.beanstack.org), please register for the Teen Services Department's summer reading challenge! The challenge itself is to read 20 hours during summer break and to log your reading in Beanstack under the Teenstack banner.
